How many challenge modes are there?
We do not publish a number. Two official-looking wordings disagree, and this site will not pick one to look finished.
Why the count is marked unverified

A later read of the Steam page used the phrase “2x Challenge Modes,” which is not the same claim and may mean something other than “there are two modes.”
What you should do — Open the current Steam store page and the in-game menu. Whatever those two show today is the live answer. This page will be updated when that check is done in a current build — not before.
What we will not do — We will not restore “8” on the homepage to look complete. Ambiguous marketing copy is not a counted fact.
