IRON NEST Wiki Hub
One independent field manual for Heavy Turret Simulator: beginner loop, demo missions, triangulation, ballistics, shells, and official resources. Sections without a verified guide yet are marked as in preparation — no empty pages, no invented facts.
Section 01
Beginner
Your first firing solution and a station-by-station overview of the turret: where the loader, the map table, and the calculator fit in one loop.
- The Manual Firing Loop →Available
Read → Locate → Calculate → Load → Aim → Fire, summarized on the home page.
Station Overview
In preparationFull walkthrough in preparation — community-tested procedure, version notes required.
Section 02
Demo
What the free demo teaches, how its missions build in complexity, and the learning order that avoids bad habits.
- Demo Guide →Available
Missions, controls, and the firing loop as taught by the demo.
Section 03
Map & Triangulation
Spotters, bearings, distance clues, and target marks. The safe core method: draw bearing lines from each Spotter, then re-measure the final firing bearing and range from the Iron Nest itself.
How to Triangulate
In preparationFull guide in preparation — method verified against community guides, to be re-checked in the current build.
Bearing from Spotter vs. Scout Plane
In preparationIn preparation. Spotter bearings and Scout Plane bearings are different tools; they are not interchangeable.
Section 04
Ballistics
The Ballistic Calculator turns a measured target problem into a firing solution: confirm the target on the map first, then solve elevation and charge.
Calculator Inputs & Order
In preparationIn preparation — target, shell, range, powder charge, elevation; exact formulas are community-tested notes, not official rules.
Section 05
Shells
Choose the shell for the target and the mission instruction, not simply the largest blast. Confirm the target icon, friendly positions, and the current version's ammunition rules before loading.
Shell Roles & Radius Checks
In preparationIn preparation — blast radius, unlock order, and counts are version-dependent and must be verified in-game.
Section 06
Missions
Objective-focused help for the missions identified in current research: Calibration Fire, Fire and Light, Liberation, and Counter-Battery.
Fire and Light
In preparationIn preparation — Spotter reports, bearing/distance clues, and Star Shell corrections.
Liberation
In preparationIn preparation — repositioning, requisition, friendly-fire checks. Fixed coordinates and medal conditions stay unpublished until verified.
Counter-Battery
In preparationIn preparation — reconnaissance choices, timing pressure, and pre-planned firing solutions. Random spawns and timers are version-dependent.
Section 07
FAQ
Platform, release, and multiplayer answers — sourced from the official Steam pages and the developer FAQ.
Does IRON NEST have multiplayer or co-op?
In preparationFull page in preparation. Short answer: the current release is single-player; multiplayer is a stated future plan, not a current feature.
How many challenge modes are there?
In preparationTo be verified. The official Steam page currently lists "2x Challenge Modes", while earlier research records listed 8. The wording is ambiguous — treat the count as version-dependent and check the current store page and in-game menu before quoting it.
Where to play
In preparationPC via Steam, with a separate official Demo listing — links in Official Resources below.
