Counter-Battery

Counter-Battery is both a mission name in demo research and a pressure state: enemy artillery can answer yours. The useful doctrine is public; the timers and spawn tables are not.

Doctrine we can source

  • Plan the map before the first destructive round. Developer replies describe time to prepare for that first critical shot, then a faster tempo if a second wave arrives.
  • Scout Plane and Star Shell are not the same recon. Developer comments: they feed different information, and Scout Plane use is described as not starting the Counter-Battery timer.
  • Community challenge videos show a shift from setup to time pressure after you have revealed yourself with fire. Treat that as play experience, not a published countdown.
  • Shell choice still follows the mission text. This page will not invent “the artillery shell.”

Why this is not emptyA developer-involved Steam thread is the backbone: preparation window, second-wave pressure, and the Scout Plane / Star Shell split. Store copy frames the game around intelligence, the map, and manual fire — Counter-Battery is that loop with return fire.

Not published hereExact countdowns, random refresh rules, coordinates, medal conditions, and a recommended shell vs enemy artillery as a universal rule.
